....on the instruments, that is! We tracked violin a couple weeks ago, and tonight we finished off with the acoustic guitar parts. It was slightly bittersweet to close off this chapter; I've had a wonderful array of people contributing to this project. But it was nice to end off the instrument portion with the very friend who had connected me to my producer.
And what a fruitful partnership it has been! It'll be just me and Josh now for the home stretch. We plan to have 2-3 more sessions to track vocals, and then he'll be mixing everything down until we're happy with how the EP sounds. I can hardly believe we're almost there! At the same time, I'm also feeling a measure of queasiness in my stomach as I think ahead to all that I'll need to do - on my own - prior to the release. And perhaps even scarier: deciding what to do after the release.
But, one step at a time. I'll keep putting one foot in front of the other and see what happens.
